S & L Stables
WELCOME
S & L Stables is a small facility in Eastern Lancaster county that provides horseback riding and pony driving lessons on our experienced horses. We are the home for the 4-H club Blazing Saddles. Our main focus is Western Dressage and pony driving. We host clinics and a WDAA and NDA sanctioned dressage show every summer. Check out our calendar of events.
Sheila and Lyle Purdum
Fall has been a busy time with a new horse entering our lesson program - Joe and new students, plus training a mini team and a few year end fun events. Sheila enjoyed several fairs this fall including the Nebraska and Iowa State Fairs with her driving ponies. Call us if interested in youth or AA riding and driving lessons.
About Us
We offer riding and driving lessons to students of all ages with a focus on horsemanship and basics. Our goal is teach youth and adults the basic skills to enjoy their riding or driving equine. Sheila Purdum is a USEF licensed 'r' WDAA judge and WDAA Train the Trainers graduate. She has extensive experience with Western Stock horses preparing and retraining for Western dressage and as a 4-H leader for over 20 years. Lyle Purdum is our resident cowboy and can teach you how to rope and ride if that's your interest.
